Fun and other stuff from Imperial College London:

First pic is my room with 5 computers. It should be noted that I've acquired more, so now I have 6. With the printer taking up one socket, that only leaves one space left for people who come over. People ask wether I need all these PCs, but the dell is a fileserver/router, the main PC is my fast one, and one laptop is my main work machine. The other laptops (2 500MHz and 1 600MHz) are purly folding machines. The next pic shows some burnt toast, but check the other side below. Something is definitely wrong with the toaster, and the vents, which havn't worked since the place was built, meant that steam was used to rid the air of impurities (which could set the fire alarms off).

See, the bread is ok on the other side, so it's only 1/4 burnt! Oh yes, mandetory pranks on changing people's door numbers around! See how long it takes for them to notice.

Anyway, more shots of my room, the 3 laptops in the papertrays aka folding farm. The paper is in the top computer as it would sleep if the lid shut, so this was to kep it open. There is my TV with Eastenders showing on it. Bags of food litter my desk...

The switch has moved to a better position, I was in the middle of a reshuffle, so things are especially messy. The second pic shows this as well.

More shots of my room, my super useful flight case (more later) and my switch (presently almost full).

As small as my room is, it has some spectacular views of the london skyline!

More night views

Good old morning smog!

View outside, and then it snowed, very heavily!

Yes, it snowed this much in about 30 mins! Very rare weather in the UK, esp in London!

The stalagtites, I almost lost! The only natural geological formation I have! The second pic is out presentation work, at about 2am! Still, that projector sure is useful.

Again, our work. The presentation went very well, there's no substitute for practice and preparation.

Time for more pictures around hall:

The microwave, the kettle and the toaster. These items kept me alive in the first year!

There's a rainbow outside, just next to that strange tower structure which is apparently used by the military. Spooky...

Just a view from the front side of halls, from Dave's room.

I have no pictures of Phil, but I do have one of his ankle and one of Dave having lunch and still hard at work as usual.

Eros and Olga, 2 people I met 2 days before term finished. I of course, happened to be on bar duty. Battersea also looks nice with the storm brewing behind.

I can tell the time! Who needs clocks when you have bigben, if a little far away mind you. There are also nearby churches if you feel so inclined.

Time to pack up and go home, first showing my inovative computer lifting system, as watercooling weighs alot! There's also enough time to watch some more TV.

With no TV aerial connected! How cool. That ends the first year so turn to the 2nd year!
