What Steve did next? Where Mackie is now? Where Frank came from? Who Mateo plays for?

COOLEY HIGH - SOUNDS OF BROOKLYN

Released: 2001

The Songs:

1. Flyin Too Close To The Sun
2. The Main Thing
3. Motions
4. Lucky Me
5. Lock O.T.
6. Time To Go
Bonus Track - Welcome Home

- This is Mateo DiFontaine's band and their pretty damn funky to boot - especially 'Time To Go' (they also occasionally support FLC). Unfortunately, the only place you can currently purchase their EP is at Difontaine Records and Tapes, the most unreliable online store in the world. You can order it if you really want to but you're unlikely to ever receive it. Lets hope that this gets a wider release in the near future cos 'Cooley High' really are very good.

For more info on the band, check out Cooley High Online.

AM60 - ALWAYS MUSIC SIXTY

Released: June 2002

The Songs:

1. Summertime Girlfriend

2. Just A Dream

3. Big As The Sky

4. Always Muic 60

5. We Belong Together

6. Bus

7. Tonite's The Nite

8. You You You

9. Girl For Me

10. Eat Alone, Die Alone

11. She Follows The Sun

12. Phat Girl

13. Long Way From Home

14. Treble, Bass and Midrange

15. Watching The Sun Go Down

- This is one of Mackie's other bands. He also writes on two tracks, 'Phat Girl' and 'Always Music 60' - which sounds just a little bit like an FLC song. The rest of the album is absolutely brilliant even though the sound's pretty basic - simple catchy melodies are the band's forte. This is one of the best summer albums I've heard in a long while.

Best Tracks: Summertime Girlfriend, We Belong Together, Tonite's The Nite

NEEDLEDROP - TURN ON, TUNE IN, DROP OUT

Released: 2003

The Songs:

1. All Night Long
2. Murder
3. Strange
4. Up In Smoke
5. Feels Like
6. Just

- This is Steve's new band, which can be roughly described as Morcheeba meets Garbage with a little FLC thrown into the mixture. Blissfully chilled-out beats with a cool female vocal.

The EP is available now to buy for £4.99 from Difontaine.net or from the band's official site, Needledrop NYC.
